IDRIA VASE

Venini transforms the ancient Greek container of water from terracotta into glass. With its shape, the vase speaks about rhythms from time gone and brings them back to life, revealing how timeless beauty is. The Idria vase is inspired by the past, by traditions, though being among the most recent creations, dated 2016.
From the Greek Hydria, the name itself refers to water, which was traditionally transported in this type of amphoras. In its forms, Idria tells a story that has the charm of ancient daily rituals.
Blown and hand-made with the Blown Opaline technique, obtained by overlapping the lattimo with other glasses.
